About The Band
Hextable Wind Band was formed in September 2010 by our Musical Director Stephanie Jarvis, who was the Lead Teacher for Primary and Secondary Schools in the Swanley area. Having taught in schools in Swanley, Wilmington and Dartford, she realised that there were no facilities to bring together children and adults to play together. Their first rehearsal had 12 musicians!! Today, as we enter our 17th year, hundreds of children and adults have passed through the Band, leaving to go to University and then returning, or adults who have started to learn the instrument that their child used to play!
